Believe it or not, it's time to start thinking about the summer 2026 mission trip! Holy Trinity’s high school youth (current 8th graders through graduating seniors) will be taking a road trip with the Advent Lutheran youth (another UA Lutheran church located on Kenny Road) to Decorah, Iowa sometime in mid-late June.  We plan to be gone for 4 days, 3 nights and there are several great mission projects to choose from.

The focus of this trip will be agriculture and food.  Food is, obviously, a necessity for all of God's creation and our trip to Decorah will provide great opportunities for us to learn and serve others.  Seed Savers Exchange will be one of our stops and we’ll learn about the importance of seed and plant preservation in order to keep food on our tables.  Dr. Norman Borlaug is known for feeding and saving lives by teaching modern farming techniques all over the world and we will also visit his childhood home.  Of course, our service projects will be complemented by fun and relaxing activities, too.  The city of Decorah, Iowa is filled with lots of outdoor activities to enjoy.  This five-minute video will give you a flavor of Decorah (in the video, “Seed Savers Exchange” is mentioned).

We hope you can join us in this memorable time of service and fun!  Please reach out to Pastor Steve or Mrs. Fox to indicate your interest and we will finalize travel dates.  Let us know, too, if you have any questions.
